Lid sounds that follow motion
Creakwise is a small menu bar app for MacBook owners who like small physical details. It gives your lid a voice: soft clicks, creaks, ratchets and latches that follow how far and how fast you move it.
What it does
- Six sound packs: Soft Click, Creak, Ratchet, Wooden Box, Magnet Latch and Servo.
- Every sound is generated in real time by the app and follows the lid angle as you move it.
- An optional screen effect on the built-in display (Off, Subtle, Balanced or Dramatic).
- Pause with a click, or with an optional keyboard shortcut.
Creakwise needs macOS 26 or later and a MacBook with a built-in lid angle sensor. It collects no data and makes no network connections.
